Memberships Launched Early for Leicester’s Exclusive Queen Victoria Arts Club

Membership for Leicester’s Queen Victoria Arts Club has been launched earlier than anticipated due to unprecedented demand for spaces, it has been revealed.

The £650,000 restaurant, which is based in the heart of Leicester’s Cultural Quarter, opened its doors with three high-profile showcase events and has been inundated with requests for the memberships ever since.

Despite the original plans to start take bookings for the exclusive members-only part of the club in the New Year, demand has been so high that business owner Cassie Soulsby made the executive decision to pre-sell the coveted memberships now – and she’s confident that capacity will be reached ahead of target – making it the city’s number one, luxury Members’ Club and Lounge.

Cassie, who took on the keys to the historic Grade 2 listed Victorian building in May to transform it into the exclusive stand-out restaurant and bar, said: “Ever since we announced plans for the members’ club and restaurant we started getting enquiries, and this peaked when people came along to our showcase events and saw the enormous potential of the venue”.

She continues; “We have been overwhelmed by the feedback we have received so far with so many calls, emails and personal requests to join, that we decided to open up the membership offering early. It seems that Leicester is living up to its premier league status and is ready for a venue like the Queen Victoria Arts Club.”

The site itself, which was built for Queen Victoria’s Jubilee, has seen quite a dramatic transformation, having been derelict for many years, and Cassie and her team worked hard on the design of the restaurant which is on the ground and lower floors, to help it stay in-keeping with the style and décor of the period.

The main ground floor restaurant and bar area can accommodate 80 covers and is open to the general public from 11am. Downstairs there is room for 50 alongside private meeting spaces and dining rooms, which the members will have full access to.

“In securing your 2019 membership now, you get the added benefit of being able to use the venue for the rest of 2018,” added Cassie.

2019 Membership benefits include access to the lounge and private dining rooms, priority table bookings at the popular restaurant and exclusive event invitations as part of a calendar of events in the private, members’ space. An ultra-limited number of VIP memberships have also been announced, with details available upon application.
